CSM congratulates MG-Sounds on winning the “Golden Venus“ for “Vienna Symphonic Lounge – A Trip to the Core“

Popular classics: new, timeless and intimate

Martin Böhm and Ludwig Coss, the masterminds of MG-Sound created a brand new, and intimate kind of music based on timeless classics, in collaboration with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, manufactured by CSM Production. Instead of highlighting popular classical music with cool beats their music explores a sharp and sensitive design to charm lounge aficionados with delay chains and filterflows, and above all, to entice traditional classical music lovers.

The songs on this CD are fantasies. Melodic, peaceful music that accommodates what is often ignored in modern music: the pursuit of harmony, beauty and perfection of classical music. These tracks don’t presume to translate the composers’ original intentions into the year 2009 - that would be disrespectful. On the contrary, with respect and inspiration Martin Böhm, Ludwig Coss and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra transform the songs into a unique cosmic experience.

Rewarded Innovation: 
"Golden Venus" for packaging design

This amazing new concept was not only rewarded with successful sales, which resulted in the creation of a new CD with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra – to be released in the fall of 2010, but also with an award for their innovative packaging design. At the CCA-Gala the Creative Club Austria presented MG-Sound with a golden award for the packaging design of the “Vienna Symphonic Lounge“ CD. For “A Trip to the Core“ MG-Sound established their own model of the “JakeBox“. This JakeBox with lasercut front was originally developed by Sofia Viktorsson for the Multi-Occasion Greeting JakeBox.

The most striking feature of the JakeBox is the folded “claw“ that holds the disc and presents it in an eye-catching way. When opening the JakeBox the claw unfolds itself, presenting the disc, lifting it up and making it easily accessible. When closing the medium disappears into the case again. Contrary to the Digipak the JakeBox does not consist of any plastics. Another smart feature is the laser-cut cover, which can be designed individually by exchanging covercards! All this makes the “Vienna Symphonic Lounge – A Trip to the Core“ a unique product, worth looking at and listening to.
